It would be very useful to include a bar with a percentage or 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% (complete) for the long-term tasks.
Many times a tasks requires... a phone call, an answer from somebody else, a follow-up, another letter. And you can not mark it as complete, yet it should be in the background because you are actually started it and are waiting for development.
