Add ads to site!

arphahat says:
If you are really making zero dollars, that is awful! Why not support the site by including ads? Or, if there is some fear of annoying your users, make the ads a setting that you can opt-in to. I am not currently in a position to support RTMilk by purchasing a Pro account, but I'd have no problem with ads being included with my lists.

While I am not in favour of ads, ( and they can easily be removed through scripts), I for one, can accept affiliates making money when I purchase online. Of course, this has to be made opt-in

I'd be happy with some adverts on the bottom of the site for the free accounts - make some money out of it guys!

I agree. You've made a great product, and if a few people can't bear a few ads, then tough luck to them.

If only adblock and greasemonkey allowed a person to eliminate 99% of the ads on the web…

I think that ads for non-pro accounts will be ok.

Non-pro accounts have ads, pro accounts are entitled to be free of ads.
Sounds simple.
(Don't know if it's simple to implement, though).

I liked the free version of RTM and decided it would be fair to pay. Guess I'm not alone.

If the free version was full of blinking ads I guess I would have left.

I'll go further: I'd be OK paying more (say $5) a year to stay ads-free.

I'd be happy with ads for non-pro accounts, but just as long as the ads are screened by RTM admins first to make sure they're not super blinky annoying ones, ones that talk at you, or stupid "you've won a free ipod" scam type things.

Maybe unobtrusive adds for non-pro accounts but desactivated for pros

I agree. It seems like you guys need more money to get a bigger team of people.

I also think there should be a difference between pro and non-pro accounts. I mean as a pro user I don't care if I see adds that are unobtrusive, but there should still be a difference between account types.

I wouldn't mind opt-in ads either. Under a student's budget I find RTM to be an amazing resource that I wouldn't mind dropping an extra dollar if I had a single one to spend. Opt-in for ads would make it those that want to support you guys *that much more* without doing anything extra an option!
