I am using slack a lot and syncing the alarms there with RTM tasks would be awesome.
The point is, people should have only one inbox, for day to day tasks to be manageable. RTM is an awesome inbox if we can sync tasks from other sources into it.

Yes! I'd for sure like integration with Slack. It would be great if I could receive a task list for the day, check smart lists or tags, and add tasks via slack. I guess I'm basically asking to use RTM in Slack :-P

please, please, please consider this! Very cumbersome to have to manually add RTM tasks from things that come up via slack discussions. I use the email shortcode all the time and it seems like it should be so easy to do the same from slack.
