Use the interface from Palm ReDo for repeating tasks
On the Palm OS there is an app for specifying repeating tasks called "ReDo" by Rick Huebner. The UI looks like this:
Repeat every [XXX] match(es)
From: [Start Date, or blank]
To: [End Date, or blank]
Where Dates are: [numbers or ranges of numbers]
And Weeks are: [1, 2, 3, 4, Last]
and Days are: [SMTWTFS]
and Months are [JFMAMJJASOND]
A Day of "31" selects the last day of any month, even if it is 28 or 30.
Once you fill in the options, a "Results" key lets you see the days that the pattern selects. You can then accept the pattern or modify it until you see what you like.
This UI allows almost every possible repeating pattern to be specified.
