Settings not being saved.

Hello,

Adding new 'reminded by' and setting my country does not save.

Settings not saving has clearly been a problem in the past:

Please fix the problem(s).

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I have tried a previously suggested solution - clearing my cache (in fact, all my browser data) and this appears to have worked but it's very early days.

Now despite how grateful I am for a free and excellent service the point I'm making is I shouldn't have to do this... it should all just work as advertised. It's very unsettling when settings don't save, it makes you question the saving ability of the entire website, including your precious tasks.

Problem quickly returned.

By pressing CTRL+F5 it shows the settings have in fact saved, but I'm being served a cached page for some reason. I'm sure you could code in some fanciness to address this.

Ignorance is bliss eh?

Settings are being saved but not being respected by the browser's cache.

For example, I've set my default list to "All Tasks" and order by "Due Date" but when I first open Remember the Milk my old settings are displayed. It is not until I press CTRL+F5 that my REAL settings are taken into account.

Hi just_laze,

If your settings aren't being saved correctly, it sounds like something (such as anti-virus or security software) might be interferring with RTM in your browser.

Would it be possible to try accessing the site via the HTTPS URL:

https://www.rememberthemilk.com/

and see if this resolves the issue?

Hope this helps!
