Java aplication like Gmail Mobile

bigtofu says:
You could make a java aplication like Gmail foi mobile.

ascaaear says:
I agree. It would make it much easyer to handle your tasks without having to use a browser on your mobile. It saves you alot of time...

bethlo says:
I also think that a java application would be great. It is a bit time consuming having to use the phone browser and log in to RTM.

This would be great, I really don't like the current mobile version. I have to log in every single time and I've pretty much given up on using it. RTM mobile needs all of the things plain old web version has...shortcuts in particular.

definitely a must have for RTM

agemmell says:
I agree! I would much prefer an app like the java Gmail app. Is there anyone making an "unofficial" one perhaps?

turadg says:
Yes, there is an unofficial open-source version. It's alpha and doesn't seem to have the basics working yet.

would be great! (but how to manage "off line"?)

johnwin says:
@turadg
Is this for Blackberry only?
Is this for Blackberry only?

jemerick says:
@johnwin
Yes, it is being developed specifically for the BlackBerry.
In a few weeks, development of the BBRTM will pick back up and hopefully more functionality will be implemented.

nicoj says:
Can I second (or third) the need for a mobile java RTM application? That would be great.

david.mejia says:
Is there anyone actually developing a Java Mobile App for RTM?

kwalters says:
agree - mark down two more users that need a java version. web version not very efficient. a non-blackberry version is still needed for all of us iphone, gphone, and treo users

lamonato says:
i would like too

I think that Java mobile app would be great. It would be also nice if it had some sort of offline mode, so the tasks will be saved locally and synchronized with the server when data connection is available (therefore it would be still usable when there is no mobile signal for example).

pedromendonca says:
It would be great, I'm looking forward for it.

renfrowk says:
Any word on development progress? This is a must-have for RTM and my phone! =]
