Click the list you want to sort (so you should now see the tasks that you have on that list). In the top right of the list (above your tasks), you'll see the cog. So the position is a little hard to get from that cropped picture, but the help page is still correct and current.

That will probably not really help you right now, though, because syncing changes hasn't been working for 34 hours, and without any official reaction by the staff, no one knows when things will be fixed ...

Ah, you are still on the old webapp. No idea how sorting works there (and using it is not recommended anyway, I think, because it has other problems, too)
