Setting that automatically increases priority each time a task is postponed

I have this problem particularly with some housework tasks like hoovering the floor; they are not urgent the first time, and it is fair enough to postpone them for things which are, but by the time they have been put off several times, it starts to matter. And I am absent minded about doing this sort of thing manually!
More priority levels than three would also be very helpful...
