Convert tag to a list

From what I can tell, one cannot convert a tag to a list. (I have been using RTM for under a month.) Am I correct?

You can use a SmartList to turn the specific tag into a List.

That's correct, though you can create a list, search for everything in this tag, and then move them to your newly created list.
