Trouble with reminders (MSN, AIM)

Hey, I can't get my RTM to contact me on neither MSN nor AIM. I have read all the FAQ/Help/Troubleshoot things already. I have added the respective usernames to my Pidgin as buddies, and tried removing and readding them too.
The way I tested was to change a tasks due time to a few minutes in the future and, well, waited. My Reminder settings are set to remind me on Due time, and both MSN and AIM accounts are set to "On".
Ideas ?
