Working with RTM + twitter

I've started following RTM from my account but I can't send him provate messages so I can't validate my account and I can't use the service.....what should I do?

Unfortunately, @rtm sometimes has problems following you back, and until then you can't send direct messages.

Sometimes it catches up with itself in a day or two; how long has it been for you?
