Officially, no. This is an oft-requested feature.

Unofficially, there is a pretty useful workaround using Google Calendar. More here:

Unfortunately, no. At this time, Reminders are application level, not task level. It's near the top of my request list to fix this. In the meantime, if you do a little research in these forums, you'll find some workarounds for this.

This is what I am working out. Seems like you set the reminder for the checked task, I hope, so you pick and choose. It does feel like I am setting one universal reminder setting for all tasks but I hope not.
Once the reminder is set I don't see where to edit or view existing. Am testing right now. Kind of fun.
