View total # of tasks in list tab

Does anyone know of a GreaseMonkey script to add the total number of tasks for a list to the list tab?
I like, and use, "A Bit Better RTM" (http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/32518) but I really just want the total # of tasks listed in the list tab.
The driver behind this is due to the fact that I don't want to even look at certain smart lists unless they contain tasks. Right now I have to manually check this...which is quite annoying.

Two ideas that have appeared over time are having some smartlists that vanish unless they contain a threshold number of tasks and to have list tab colors that varied with the number of tasks.
I like the idea of a bill tab that vanishes until one comes due, and turns red if it's overdue.
