is there some delay in tasks with due dates making it to the iCal feed?

I've got one of my smart lists set up as an ical feed and subscribed to it in google calendar (with the events ical link). I have one item there showing up on 10/5 as it should but something I added this morning as due on 10/2 is not showing up. should this be showing up right away?

I believe that Google Calendar refreshes iCalendar subscriptions every few hours or so (they say to contact them if it takes more than 24 hours to update).
