Apply changes to multiple tasks

I selected multiple tasks and tried to tag them all the same but it only applied it to the first task I selected. I would think I could select multiple tasks and apply the same info if I'd like.

Is multi-edit turned on? Hit 'm' on your keyboard and something should come up that says either 'multi-edit mode on' or 'multi-edit mode off.' When it's on you should be able to do what you're describing.
