How to delete thousands of tasks?

(closed account) says:
I used RTM in 2005 and early 2006, and I had several repeating tasks. I'd like to start using it again under my existing account, but now that I got into it, I have over 3,000 tasks. I'd like to clear them and start all over. But when I select all and say delete, IE consistently churns and then crashes. What can I do?
