Dump tasks to .csv file

I would like to regularly dump my tasks to a .csv file so that I can import it into OpenOffice if necessary, or if RTM fails.
I am a programmer so I could write something, preferably in Python, but maybe somebody is aware of such a tool already? Or something that comes close and that I could use/adapt?

There's a full backup available in iCalendar format (iCalendar is the only format that can fully support all of the data types in Remember The Milk data). I believe there are tools available to convert iCalendar files, and most programming languages have libraries for parsing the iCalendar format.
