No sound from push notifications

For quite a long time, I haven't been getting sound from push notifications that I receive on the RTM iOS app. I'm getting the notifications themselves pretty reliably, but they come silently and I can easily miss one, so I cannot rely on them and have to set up separate alarms in my Apple Watch Alarm app to not miss important stuff

I contacted RTM support 4 months ago, tried everything they suggested, and after substantial back and forth, they were able to reproduce the problem on a test account. 3 months have passed since then and nothing has happened—the notifications are still silent. I regularly ask them for updates, but there aren't any. I guess they gave very low priority to this bug, so I decided to draw public attention to it as this issue is important to me.
Does anybody have the same problem (no sound in notifications)?
P.S. I've been using RTM for about 20 years now and I've been Pro continuously since 2007, and now I'm starting to worry that my beloved service is going off the rails.
