Overdue Smart List on iPhone 6

My Overdue smart list shows three repeating tasks which have future dates, despite being "dueBefore:today". These three tasks do not show any past instances, only the future ones. I am confused? BTW< I see the same in the web app.

My apologies, I somehow had some 2016 dates in there. Don't know how I managed That!
