translation of plural forms

I've just participated in translating of the Web App (into Russian), but have difficulties with plural forms. How does RTM web app cope with plural forms when a word specifying time has several forms depending on {NUM}. For eg.
after {NUM} years
in Russian
через 2 года
через 3 года
через 4 года
через 5 лет
...
через 20 лет
через 21 год
через 22 года
...
There are other cases where time unit changes the same manner (eg., "months": "месяца", "месяцев").
Also ordinal numbers (eng.: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, ...) have their equivalents in other languages, but may not follow the scheme where all over "3rd" have the same suffix, however differ depending on gender for eg.
