Upgrading on phone but not Mac

I have OS X Lion on my Mac and plan not to upgrade anytime soon because of the problems with El Capitan, so I can't install your new version of RTM on my Mac. However my phone has IOS 9.2.1 so I could install it there. Could I install the new version on my phone without installing on my desktop (and Ipad), and would it work? Secondly, is there any advantage to continuing my Pro membership if I can't upgrade to the new version of RTM?

You can use RTM on the web so just use it inside whatever browser you use (Chrome, Safari, Firefox). The desktop app is really not much different than the web version.
