">" at the beginning of a task

birrellwalsh says:
Sometimes tasks (in the smart list I have created for daily and past-due events) are marked with ">" at the beginning.

Could I ask what that ">" means?

Thanks

The arrow is called a chevron. Try pressing j or k and see what happens.

Hi birrellwalsh,
As raymond.bergmark mentioned, this is the indicator for using the keyboard shortcuts to edit your tasks with the keyboard.

Hope this helps!

Oh very nice - j and k move the chevron up and down (thank you raymond), spacebar selects the item pointed at, and then (thank you andrewski) the keyboard shortcuts work.

So one can use RTM without touching the mouse!

(addendum) Well, it seems that now and usually, the spacebar does NOT select the item. But "i" does.
