Gmail & importing lists

Using gmail to email a list into RTM seems to have the 72 character wrap problem.
I'm not using any email client, just gmail from a browser.
Can someone tell me where to fix the wrapping problem. I can't find any setting in gmail that would look related to that.

If I write a sentence that is about 80 characters, it breaks it into two tasks.
