Phantom reminders for deleted tasks

I deleted a task months ago, and still get reminders for it on the iPhone app. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app, but still get the reminders. I can't find the task searching both through the web and iPhone app.
Any ideas for how to get rid of the phantom pop up reminder?

If you've already searched for the task by name, is it possible your tasks/lists were archived? That'd make them effectively invisible, and unsearchable, but you can check on the Lists tab of the Settings screen to see if it's still there.
