How to use iCalendar with Mozilla Lightning and Thunderbird

poshlust says:
I did a search and this doesn't seem to be covered anywhere, so--

It might be useful to add to your help files a short note for users of the "Lightning" version of Mozilla Sunbird.

Lightning is the version of Sunbird that is integrated as an extension directly into the Thunderbird email program. It doesn't recognise webcal:// , so users who try to make a remote calendar using your current Sunbird instructions will get a message that a calendar was created, but the address gets discarded and no calendar appears.

Lightning users need to change webcal to http and it will work normally.

poshlust, thanks for letting us know. This is very helpful info for anyone using Lightning -- we'll add this to the help section.

Ah, I spoke too soon.

The calendar (Events) works normally, but because unlike the full version of Sunbird it doesn't recognise webcal it also doesn't seem to allow you to complete a task if you use the Todo list. It just gets bigger and bigger with completed/repeating tasks unless you delete them.

(I hope Lightning starts supporting iCal soon. I rather liked having the ToDo list right under my email.)

I am using Thunderbird with Lightning, and I absolutely love it. While it syncs with Google Calendar fine, it doesn't sync with the tasks from RTM at all. If I mark one as complete, it doesn't update.

Any ideas?
