It sounds like you have the remember the milk google calendar gadget installed.
To check and see if that is the problem, and to remove it if it is, follow these step.
1) Log into your google calendar
2) On the left hand-bottom side of the screen, click settings. This brings up the Calendar Settings screen.
3) Scroll down to the second listing (Other calendars).
4) See if Remember the Milk is listed
5) If it is, click Unsubscribe.

Just select your issue from the list on the left, and follow the steps shown. If your issue isn't listed, click on "I'd like to report a new issue".
