Deleted (Repeating) Events Still Showing in Google Calendar

I added RTM to GCal using the ical events code for a list that showed all my relevant tasks. After deleting a number of recurring tasks they still show up in GCal. They can't be found at all via search in RTM. I had to delete the calendar in order to ditch those events. The events repeated infinitely daily as if nothing had changed in RTM. Has anyone seen this before?
