Prevent notes from repeating

As I pay my credit card bill each month I add the transaction nr. and amount to the notes in what is a repeating task ( i.e. @Pay Visa ). Problem is that this updates the notes in all the repeating task for @Pay Visa. Can I avoid this?

Tasks with a repeat format of "after X" do not carry over the previous notes.
And since "after X" repeating tasks only repeat when completed, I'd think this would be effective for you for this task, as if you don't pay the bill one month, you don't pay it twice the following month.

I was being a bit dense. My mistake was specifiying "repeat after" , which causes the notes to be carried over, instead of " after 1 month", which you rightly indicated. Thanks again!
