Not all Lists in View

Is there a way I can exclude a List for All Tasks. Or Show more than one List at a time but not all lists.

You can archive lists (settings -> lists), which will stop it being displayed, or you can delete lists permanently.

IIRC, "All tasks" is a smart list (it's based on a saved search), so it's probably safe to delete - should you ever need to display all tasks in the future you can simply click into the search box and hit enter: an empty string (no search terms) will return all tasks.

On the other hand, I use "archive" for those lists that I need periodically but don't want displayed all the time. I use a (regular) list for moving tasks to from my inbox (got to move tasks somewhere!) but I don't really care about that list - I use smart lists depending on context (e.g. if I'm on the train I use my "Quick" and "Smart phone" smart lists, if I'm shopping I use my "Shopping" smart list).

Thank you. Do you know if could create a smart list that would include everything except one list. I have a list of companies i am tracking but they are really not to-do items. When I look at my list of items for the day ( i dont put due dates on everything because I never do them all) I dont want to see the company names. Maybe I can try you archive approach.

Just do a search such as "not list:Tasks". You can than save that search as a smart list.
