Adding to RTM while driving...

chrisvincent04 says:
I am always nervous pulling out my iPhone on the road and adding tasks to it. But, some of my best thoughts come while driving to work. At one point I used Jott Notes to add tasks while driving. When they started charging I looked for another option of voice to text.

I stumbled upon reQall. It works the same as Jott, but it won't put it directly into RTM. What it does do is email you the notes in text form. I use gmail, so I copy/paste the note from gmail into my RTM gadget.

I have been doing this for a few weeks and it works great especially for a GTDer.

Another option is to get reQall to email the task directly to you RTM inbox email address, then there's no need for copy & pasting from gmail.

Personally I find Dial2Do a better solution. I have a contact in my address book called Remember The Milk, which is actually the Dial2Do phone #. I call this contact, and it asks me "what do you want to do?", I say "Remember The Milk", then it asks me to say the task I want to record. I speak the text of the task I want to record and hang up. It then appears in my RTM inbox.

aajax,

Jott used to be free. They fully monetized all their services during 2008. Try Dial2Do - http://www.dial2do.com/

Sadly Dial2Do is no longer free either. Any other options out there?
