For some reason, my copy of RTM always opens about 3/4 of the way and never full screen. I would click on maximize and that opens it to full screen but the next time I open it goes right back to 3/4 screen. I solved that problem. When in that 3/4 screen, click maximize, then go over to File, click it, then click Quit. Now it always opens full screen. This procedure works on other applications too.
