Remember the Milk great way to automate GTD

dougbrown77 says:
Remember the Milk (RTM)'s greatest strength is in automating the Getting things Done (GTD) process.

Smart Add and Smart Lists are the centerpiece of RTM's automation process.

First, I have established smart lists that automatically search for frequent tasks (common words) that I carry out. Examples include: buy, visit, call, email, pray, facebook, tweet, etc.

Second, I establish smart lists that automate the process of identifying time sensitive tasks. Searches (smart lists) that I establish include: due in last month but not completed, due yesterday, due today, due in the coming week, due in the coming month)

Now with these parameters established I am able to quickly input tasks such as "buy milk friday". This task will be automatically added to the "buy" smart list and it will appear in the various date related smart lists.

This approach has a great strength! You spend very little time "fiddling" with your lists and have more time to actually get things done!

Smart method, I agree with the "fiddling" part, it's easy to get caught up with the system and not getting (real) things done.
