starting date and due date

I am using "due" as a starting day, and I put due date (deadline) at the head of task line with [ / ]
For example, if I plan to give fresh banana and milk for Bob' birthday(suppose it is Sept. 1) , my RTM task will be
[9/1] Buy banana and milk for Bob ^8/30
This means 8/30 is the starting date and [9/1] is the deadline of the task.
If I have a task which should be completed in March, but do not know when to start, the task may be like
[3/] Plan a joke for April fool's day.
And the task I really want to do some day is simply written as
[ / ] Clean up my storage barn
In this way, smart list "search for: due:never AND [ / ] " lists up the tasks with deadlines but no starting date.
