Creating a Habit of Reading Books

chandra.gaajula says:
Creating a habit takes the following:
1. Clear idea of the goal and a believable game plan.
2. Discipline to follow the game plan.
3. A smart way to track progress.

It's in creating a smart way to track progress that I use RTM. So, for creating a book reading habit I did the following:

1. Created a list "Books To Read"
2. Added the book I wanted to read with the following particulars:
a) Task Name: Think and Grow Rich
b) Due:
c) Repeat: every 1 day for 30 times {where the 30 is the number of chapters in the book}
d) Time estimate: 30 min
e) Tags: none
f) Location: Home

Coincidentally, I just recently read both The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business by Charles Duhigg and Zen To Done: The Ultimate Simple Productivity System by Leo Babauta. Habit is the key! (and great tools like RTM!)
