Tasks within a task

I realize this might be more a Project Management add, but is there a way to add another level into RTM? I work about 24 accounts. I would like to create a list for each one. Then a second level of tasks, as I might have multiple projects going on for each task ...and I need to track the progress for each.
As an example. I have to create 4 reports for one of these clients. I created the list with the client name. I have created 4 tasks ...one for each report. However, I now have no way to track the steps for each report. There might be an additional 5-10 tasks as part of this report creation.
1) List item.
1a) Task

1c) Notes
30-minutes new to the gadget here. Any ideas would be appreciated.

It sounds like the ability to create sub-tasks may be helpful to you. While we don't currently offer sub-tasks, you may want to review some of the feedback from other users in this thread which discusses the feature. Please vote to show your support for this if it's something you'd like to see added as well.
