A Dynamic Daily To-Do List

benmjt says:
Although it's quite a simple idea for a simple task, I've found it really useful and thought I would share.

I always have a number of small jobs I try to complete every day, but I don't want them to clog up either my calendar or next action lists. I also want to be able to 'tick' them off when i've completed them, and to have them to refresh each day so I can start again.

The solution was to create a new smart list entitled 'Daily' which only items tagged 'daily' will show up in. Next I make each of the items in the list due today, and then have them repeat daily.

So now I have a list of small items, such as '25 pages of reading' that I can tick off when I've completed them each day, and they will re-appear tomorrow for me to tick off again.

Thanks,

Ben

Whoops, should I have waited until next Tuesday to post this?

Edit: I've found it's more useful to use the rule: " tag:daily AND dueBefore:tomorrow" That means uncompleted tags will roll over to the next day, so you can see what you've missed from the previous day.
