Keeping Our Cable Company Honest with RTM

In this economy my fiancee and I are constantly looking for ways to save money - one such way is to regularly review our cable/tv services to see if there are any opportunities to shave money off the monthly bill.
That's where RTM comes into play - I setup semi-annual reminders to give AT&T (Uverse), DirecTv, Comcast, etc... a call to "cancel" my membership, with no intention to cancel at all; the real purpose is to get my cable company to give us HD FREE for another 6 months ($60 value) -or- an additional $10 off our bill for a year -or- free HBO for 3 months - anything to get us to "stay" with our cable provider. Usually by just placing a phone call, you can get an easy $5 to $15 off your monthly bill, it's that simple!
RTM is essential in keeping my family from spending more money with our cable company, because we would likely forget that our current deal has expired and with Automatic Bill Pay, we tend to be lazy and not thoroughly review our statements on a monthly basis. This is just one way that I love to use RTM, and it can easily save us well over $100 a year!
We also use RTM to cancel "Free-trials" of various websites, magazines, offers, etc... ensuring we do not get stuck with new magazine subscription that we had no intention of ever buying.
