Capturing Tasks On The Go
digitap says:
As an IT consultant, I find myself in my vehicle between sites a lot. Of course, this is when I have the new tasks flash across my mind and I need to caputre them. Typically, I like using Twitter to get my tasks captured from my smart phone. However, when I'm driving, this is not such a great idea. So, I signed up for a free account at reQall (reqall.com).
When you setup your account, you associate your phone so that when you call in, it knows you. Additionally, you setup your RTM email account. Essentially, it's a transcription service. You call in, say a command, dictate your task, reQall transcribes it and sends the transcription to your RTM account. The whole process takes less than a 30 seconds and I have a new task captured in the system.
There is some editing to do as it's not perfect, but the tasks come appear in such a fashion that I know they are from reQall so it's easy to know what the original task was. Getting it into the system as easy as possible is the whole idea, right? Well, this is pretty darn easy!

There was another service I used, but can't remember it at the moment. They turned into a pay for service.
