Help me make my RTM to-do list more "in my face"

zenoxio says:
I have a to-do list but I quite often forget about it and I want to have my to-do list "in my face" so to say. I already have it integrated in Gmail, but it doesn't help that much considering it minimizes on its own when I log back in to Gmail and it's at the bottom left, where I don't really look.

I know there are reminders, but I don't really use due dates. A lot of my tasks are things for my personal coding projects and the sort, or long term fixes to the apartment.

Any suggestions? :)

Have you tried the actual RTM addon for Gmail? That puts it on the right side and allows you to automatically add email to RTM based on certain criteria. You can download it for Firefox or Chrome here:

You can also use Rainlendar to keep the todo list on your desktop, but I can't remember if the free version allows syncing to RTM or the pro version.

I personally use the hell out of due dates and reminders; it's the only way I would ever get anything done!

Ah neat, that extension might just work.

One question about it though, how can I fix the display of it? It looks really ugly: http://i.imgur.com/eYI69.png

That's mostly the theme. Mine looks much different, but in addition to having a different theme, I have priorities and due dates, which makes the list look much different.

You might try some user styles to make it look different. What are you wanting it to look like?

xtog, I like the way yours looks. How do you change it like that?

Well I'm using the Android Gmail theme, and almost all of my tasks have due dates and priorities. The little round checkmarks next to the tasks are the priority indicators and the dates below each task are due dates.

Also, you should click "options" in the bottom left of the RTM side window and select either "all tasks" or "tasks with due date."

I was looking for a User Style for this, and I was a bit shocked that I couldn't find any that were recent enough to be useful. I might try my hand at one...
