Getting Credit - Using RTM to Prep for Performance Evaluations

hwebbjr says:
Most of us are evaluated annually based on a prescribed list of areas in which our performance is monitored. At the beginning of my evaluation year, I populate my tags list with tags for domains (my industry's label for the areas in which I am expected to perform). I begin each domain tag with a "d-" to cause them to be grouped together so that when I use the Smart Add shortcuts, they pop up in a group, making it easy to choose one.

I keep a Projects List as a separate list and add a every project assigned to me there, along with a domain tag. Doing a search for "tag:d-mgt list:projects" at year's end brings up a printable list of all projects related to my "Management" domain that I have completed. Doing that for each domain gives me lists of accomplishments to use as talking points during the evaluation.

This is awesome. My employer has started insisting on specific examples of things we've done right to justify higher ratings.

This will help me keep track of accomplishments to help my supervisor justify giving me a higher rating therefore helping him help me with a raise.
