Keeping Track of the Family Tree using RTM
I use Remember The Milk to keep track of births/death/marriage certificates that I've ordered in pursuit of my family tree exploration.
I've gotten the family tree bug, and am constantly digging into different branches of the tree. When I find a record that I'm sure about I order the certificate from the UK General Registry Office. I make a note of the type using a tag (#birth, #marriage #death), who and the date I submitted it, and keep them all in a Certificates list.
This way, I know what's coming so know not to look into that area, and crucially I don't order the same thing twice. When I receive it, I can add the details to my family tree, and mark the task as complete.
Thanks!
