How to synchronize Remember The Milk with Outlook
davidpodhola says:
Here is a link to synchronizer that transfers tasks between Remember The Milk and Outloook: http://www.sprinxcrm.com/SprinxCRM%20OutlookSync%20for%20Remember%20The%20Milk
Still in Release Candidate, but already capable of list, tags, categories and smart list synchronization.
I have created it for myself, use it and synchronize RTM with Outlook and also with Astrid on my Android phone.

any thoughts on this getting flagged by AVG as a security threat of the highest level?
I installed, but AVG gave me a "malware detected" warning and assiged "outlooksync.exe" the highest level of security threat.
Here is the definition of the threat level:
"four red squares – high risk, exhibits aggressive characteristics that should be checked"
Maybe we should get a little more information about this software before we blindly install it.

I do not use AVG, but I will try to install and check. The application is downloading the addin from web and modifying registry so that might be why AVG is flagging it like that. You can install just the Outlook addin directly from http://www.sprinxcrm.com/SprinxCRM%20OutlookSync%20for%20Remember%20The%20Milk/Addin/setup.exe but then it will not auto-update.

This setup also need some additional downloading. Why not making a standalone installation.

I've been using this without any issues for the past month or so -and I have AVG installed.
I've found that the first couple of syncs were very slow but it's improved now that it's all sync'd up.
There are a couple of minor issues like it doesn't close down properly with Outlook sometimes (you have to close the application in the tray) but other than that it's very nice

Does it work with Outlook 2003?

i only installed this morning, but 5 hours later and it still hasn't finished syncing my 130 active tasks. I have high hopes for the add-in, but in order to read emails in the reading pane i had to cancel at one point and restart outlook - i'm assuming that the sync was messing with it.
Really hoping the speed improves because i'm only just implementing GTD and these tasks lists are actually on the short side for me at the moment....
