Last day of the month tasks
(closed account) says:
I have a task I want to do on the last day of every month. But of course the last day of a month can be the 31st, the 30th or the 28th (or every four years the 29th.)
If I set up a task for the 31st to repeat monthly I only see it for months with a 31st, it skips the others. But if I set up a task to repeat on the 30th, then it's a day early for the months with a 31st and still skips February.
One solution would be to make 12 tasks, each one repeating annually, one for each month. But I figured out you can do it with only 6.
* Set up 1 task for January 31st and set it to repeat monthly. That covers January, March, May, July, August, October and December.
* Set up 4 tasks for 30th of April, June, September and November and set them to repeat annually.
* Set up 1 task for February 28th and set it to repeat annually (okay, every 4 years you'll just have to click and postpone it a day!)
There you go - 6 tasks to cover the 12 months.
