Manage Tasks for Large Research Teams

For the last year I have been a graduate student on a large National Institutes of Health research team that is examining hypertension (high blood pressure). With over 20 people and two major study locations, managing tasks can be a major challenge. Fortunately, RTM has been a big help.
With RTM I have been able to set up tasks and due dates for items due in one day or two years. As an added benefit, RTM keeps a record of completed tasks so I can look back and report what I completed.
As I move into managing my own grant, I'm considering using RTM for every member of the team. WIth RTM team leads will be able to continue doing what I am doing:
- assign tasks to individuals and have a better idea of how everyone is doing, an challenge when working with undergraduates, graduate students, and faculty.
- tag for location and project
- set priorities, reminders and due dates
- include links and comments in notes
Having this sort of information on hand has been very useful. I have a clean list of items that I have to complete, reminders come up regularly (such as "submit abstract to public health conference"), and feel like less slips through the cracks.
Thanks RTM for keeping my blood pressure down. Sean
