Using RTM as a people manager
swa says:
I'm a people manager of approximately 15 employees and I find it quite challenging to keep track of all the issues and todos with respect to my employees. Given that I use RTM for my private stuff, I though about how to use RTM with my team.
I did not want to use lists because it felt like an overkill, so I went with tags. For each employee I have a tag starting with an underscore, e.g. _martin or _bill (note that my private tags do not start with an underscore).
If I add a todo or mental note for that employee, I immediately tag that todo with _ and decide whether I want to be reminded (add a due date) or not. Clicking on an employee name in the tag cloud on the right shows me everything I need to know when I speak to the employee the next time.

I'm just starting to use RTM. I'm looking at lists and context / tags. I don't want to load up with a bunch of lists.
I have a just few people that work on a larger number of projects. I was debating on using tags for people. I'll give this a try now. When I'm speaking with that person, rather than scanning my projects and actions, I can search by tag and discuss everything that I need to with that person.
