Gmail Browser Add on Tip

I am a minister and as such have over 100 people that I relate to. One of the ways that I do that is by typing "call....", the standard convention for smartadd, when I think that I need to call someone. When a person is using the Gmail browser add on and types "call... or "email..." RTM interfaces with gmail contacts and associates that task with that contact. AT a later date I can go back and concentrate on that particular person, using the provided filter in the gmail addon. However, I found a significant limitation to this feature and discovered a work around. I was puzzled to find that I could type "call Mary Jones" and though Mary Jones was in my address book her name would not come up as a choice in the addon. I discovered by process of elimination that this was due to the fact that Mary Jones did not have an email address associated with her contact information. Some of the people I minister to do not have email addresses. Therefore, I came up with a work around. I took their first name and last name and put it as one word and added a fake email address. For example "maryjones@wit.com" I kept the naming convention the same with each contact for example John Jones would be "johnjones@wit.com" I used this standard convention so that I would be able distinguish the fact that the email address listed was not a true email address. I do this for each contact and it works. However, I would note that the system, I do not know if its gmail or RTM, takes some time to recognize the new address. Sometimes its not ready for use until the next day.
