I have two school lists: School (Short-Term) & School (Long-Term). Tasks due within the week go in the former. This helps me focus on my more urgent work, what I need to work on immediately. But in my All Tasks list, I can see both lists to get an idea of what I have coming up over, say, the next month. The ability to be able to focus on few tasks and have a broad overview of what's coming up is extremely useful.
