Sharing tasks on Facebook

Here’s a great idea to share fun or interesting RTM tasks on your Facebook page. You’ll first need an account with Twitterfeed (twitterfeed.com).
1. Once you have an account set up with Twitterfeed, you’ll be at the “New Feed” page
2. Start creating a new feed by giving the feed a name (like “RTM”)
3. In a different browser tab, do the following:
_ a. Sign into rememberthemilk.com
_ b. Create a new list dedicated for tasks you want to share on Facebook
_ c. With the new list’s tab selected, create a task (there needs to be at least one item to start feeding into Facebook)
_ d. Make the new list public by clicking the "Publish" tab in the right-hand pane. Then click the option "Make this list public", and click the "Publish" button
_ e. In the same right-hand pane, go to the “List” tab, right-click the link “Atom”, and select the context-menu item that copies the link address to your clipboard
4. Go back to the browser tab that has Twitterfeed open
5. In the box under “Blog URL or RSS Feed URL”, paste the link that you copied previously
6. Click “test rss feed”, and below you should see “Feed parsed OK”
7. Click “Continue to Step 2”
8. Under “Available Services”, click “Facebook”
9. Click the button “Connect with Facebook”, and enter your credentials and click “Login”
10. Click the button “Create Service”, and back at the “Available Services” page, click “All Done!”
Now if you go to your Facebook page, you’ll see your RTM task as a shared link. Also, any new task you add to your published task list will also appear on Facebook, so it might help to preface tasks with “To-do:” to give context to the Facebook post.
It’s always fun to see what your friends are doing, and this is a great way to let them know what you’re busy accomplishing. It can also generate some buzz about your tasks, which can be motivating in getting things done.
Not to mention, it lets all your friends know about Remember the Milk, and how great an app it is!
