Notifications on Notes

I have a shared task. I would like to notify those are sharing the task about progress in my task. If I add a note, the only way is that they have to visit the task and read the note. Is there a way to notify them?

Currently it's not possible to notify other users about changes to a shared task; the only way to force a notification would be to give a task.

Changes are also published in RSS feeds, which it would be possible to subscribe to as well.
