I wonder if the people who have hacked the bookmarklet can offer any suggestions about getting the URL of a feed item into the URL field of the task?

The favicon URL for the RTM cow is, I believe: http://www.rememberthemilk.com/favicon.ico

I would just add a link to the ICON URL to be
http://www.rememberthemilk.com/img/gears/desktop_128x128.png

Actually, after a little bit of digging around, I've come up with an even better solution. I decided to blog on it, because it's a little more involved than what I could post here.

Not sure if this is what theitjuggler described in his blog, but since the blog post is gone, here's a better solution that allows the URL to go to the URL field:

Name: RTM
URL: https://m.rememberthemilk.com/add?name=${title}&url=${url}
Icon URL: http://www.rememberthemilk.com/favicon.ico

The mobile site has a URL parameter, which the "Add Task" service above lacks. Downside is that you apparently have to log in again even if you're logged into the web interface.

Thanks to the author of this RTM/GReader Greasemonkey script for pointing out the mobile interface. The Greasemonkey script looks like a decent option, but I prefer the native "Send To" capability to having a script polling every three seconds.

Very nice idea. I'm not a fan of the required re-login, but still pretty neat.

Not sure if its much more useful than using the email feature to RTM, but I guess it has two advantages in 1) speed and 2) it provides a URL.

The draw back I noticed with the nselander's link is that its almost too complicated. You have to login (even if you are already), then there are about 8 fields open to fill out. You don't have to fill those, but its almost like I have to.

My main use for this is to bookmark/review a certain post I like (i.e. a lifehacker post), and then do something about it later. All I want from RTM is something to jog my memory - I don't want to make a task right then and set all the details out right then.

Still, very neat. Something I'll for sure use in the future.

When I try this, it works nicely - up to a point. When I pick the SEND TO-item in Google Reader, I get presented with a RTM webpage where I can adjust the data before actually creating the task. Is there a way to skip this? If I choose to send to RTM, I'm totally fine with it just showing up in my task list without me massaging it beforehand.
